Bunny & The Invalid Singers - “Flight Of The Certainty Kids” (BS052)

Excellent new album from Bunny & The Invalid Singers
[Aural Delights Radio Show]

Some favourites of ours on Bearsuit Records – Bunny & The Invalid Singers – and a track called “A Sniper's Heart”
[Stuart Maconie – The Freak Zone, BBC6 Music]

The tracks bear titles which are not simply evocative yet suggestive of a story whose intricate – sometimes exquisite, sometimes roughly hewn – threads appear simultaneously to create a flabbergasting experience. Cinematically psychedelic... After “The Uncontrollable Light” brings things to a close on a funereal, brass-splashed note, the taste of a wondrous trip will remain on one’s mental palate for a long, long time. It’s that riveting.
[DMME.net]

Luscious instrumentals and the kind of playing that makes you sit up and take notice. The quality of the music surpasses anything Bunny has previously released. It is also more abstract and playful than most music I’ve listened to today. The music is primal, but not basic. Complex melodies are going on here, being coaxed out of instruments that you wouldn’t expect. A fun album full of wonky melodies and catchy rhythms.
[Vital Weekly]

Oddly cinematic and definitely undefinable music, featuring many layers, cut-ups, beats and general strangeitude. Snatching influences from all over, the music falls from a sky aswirl with glittering tinsel blown on a breeze of chance
[The Progressive Aspect]

They've got a future in film soundtrack on the strength of that [“The Certainty Kids”] Quite an unusual production. Very rich instrumentation and arrangement....
[Club Integral Radio Show]

A bit whimsical, a bit glitchcore bit microtonal, a bit of fun – and totally unpredictable. An eye-popping swirl of hybridity. In a mad, mad world, the crazy world of Bunny & the Invalid actually seems pretty rational – lose yourself in the mania, and things seem a whole lot better. Don’t question it, don’t overthink it, just delve in...
[Aural Aggravation]

Cracking album! Really just fun and playful to listen to and really love the air around the acoustic elements. Congrats on such a great album!
[Home Normal]

Mysterious Edinburgh musician releases another album of wonderful music “Flight of the Certainty Kids”
[Different Noises]

A special highlight of the show being the tracks from the forthcoming Bearsuit Records release from Bunny & The Invalid Singers. Showing the nation they can draw you into their world of quixotic beauty of light and dark at a mere change in key. Really wonderful stuff! [“The Certainty Kids”] Proper gorgeous isn't it... Really brilliant LP!
[In-Tune, Bcfm]

It's already received a lot of solid reviews, and I like it too. Instrumental electronic pop, Tortoise and Dan Deacon would be my touchstone for this. You can purchase this digitally or on CD. Why would you not?
[Clean Nice Quiet]

Bunny &The Invalid Singers supply us with what the musical future could hold, snatching pieces of Nirvana like grunge to the burning turning wheels of the tragic death glow of Marc Bolan, not in sound but in otherworldly saintly hood. Sit back, close [your] eyes and imagine life is as exciting and interesting as this Bunny & The Invalid Singers album
[Monolith Cocktail]

Excellente proposition du label Bearsuit Records, délicatement "progressive"
[Fardeau Losange]

The folk-tinged The Flight of the Certainty Kids is preceded by an intriguing double-A single and drops October 15, from Bunny & the Invalid Singers and Bearsuit Records.
[A Closer Listen]

Thoroughly enjoyable!
[Is This Music?]

It mesmerizes as only the best magicians can. A wonderous album!
[Bizarrechats]

Like it! Always keen on new weirdness here
[Majjem Radio]

Eschewing normal pop conventions Bunny & Co. draw a musical line in the sand and then proceed to obliterate it by serpentining in three or four different directions, arriving at an endpoint even they didn’t see coming... You’ll certainly be challenged to check your linear-thinking musical conventions at the door... Confounding, intriguing, frustrating, amusing, and just-plain-fun music
[It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine]

[OndaRock]

Great album!
[River Gibbs FM]

Brilliant new album from Bunny & The Invalid Singers. Absolutely excellent! It's got jazz inflections, it's a bit folk, it's a bit whimsical – it's all instrumental and it's absolutely superb!
[Sonic Diary, Salford City Radio]
