Gavin Hellyer There's plenty of variety and enjoyment to be had here. Whilst it's essentially Electronica and Dance, Hayato still finds a way to take us to various corners of the musical room. Favorite track: Etude G-12.

Hayato Takeuchi - EP (BS037)

Engaging and compelling. In many ways this EP could be viewed as a new form of classical music for a world removed to the far future. Only rarely do we have a chance to listen to music so original, that it defies existing genres, while at the same time embracing them. This is a work that should be in everyone's collection.
[Floorshime Zipper Boots]

[Hayato Takeuchi CD] I'm loving! Brilliant stuff! Really lovely stuff!
[Phil Vickery – In-Tune, Bcfm]

The Bearsuit label continues to enhance its reputation as our foremost purveyors of quirky and innovative oddities with pretty much everything they put out. This release from Tokyo's Hayato Takeuchi continues this fine run, blending delightful pop melodies with departures into the bizarre over five tracks of some of the most engaging music you'll hear this year. It's great!
[Unwashed Territories]

This is amazing!
[Tom Byrne – The Sentient]

That [Etude G-12] was from our great friends from Bearsuit Records in Leith, Edinburgh. That was the opening track on this excellent EP...
[Stuart Maconie - Freak Zone, BBC 6 Music]

[Mr Henderson No Ai To Replica] An exceptional piece!
[Club Integral Radio - Resonance FM]

‘EP’ features six tracks of curiously playful genteelness. Taking aside the opening track ‘Etude G-12’ – think Reich gone lounge with its syncopating rhythmic metering and lazy eyed Balearic after glows casting a rather ornate trip toned smouldering, ‘EP’ acutely inhabits a world cooled in an intricate minimalist craft.
[The Sunday Experience]

A happy gathering of hypnotic music. So good! This EP is so full of love that it will be very difficult for a person to dislike. So why not give it a go?
[YIKIS]

The music on this EP is… different. Different from what? Pretty much everything. Yes, it’s a typical Bearsuit Records release. There’s no way of putting a tag on this that’s in any way informative, and to pick it apart is to destroy its intrigue. Weird and special, and special in its weirdness.
[Aural Aggravation]

[Mock Progukurere] That's the [ninth] track from the "Tomato Sauce Lasers, Sausage Lassos" compilation - excellent one from Bearsuit! Who very rarely put out anything that's less than excellent. A very enjoyable listen!
[Mark Whitby – Dandelion Radio]

Want more happy beats? Check out the playful “EP” from Hayato Takeuchi. The circus-like “Mr Henderson No Ai To Replica” is particularly chirpy
[A Closer Listen]

[“Etude G-12”] Fripp inside a computer
[PoProPo]

Zanimljivo i opuštajuće…
[Terapija]

[“Usan Kusao No Osoushiki”] Melodies and sounds play nicely off one another..good stuff!
